Disney Secrets of Sulphur Springs "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Time" Episode 5 recap (no spoilers)

One of the many things we enjoy doing as a family is spending time together, even when it's just us watching tv. We usually don't have a lot of shows that we enjoy together just because everyone has a different preference but when we do find something we all enjoy we make it a family affair, and that's exactly what we did with Disney Channel's newest series, Secrets of Sulphur Springs.

We got to enjoy a private screening of Episode 5 "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Time“ thanks to Disney Channel PR and the wonderful Kristin Cruz. I was excited to watch with my boys especially with my oldest since he seems to be the one who enjoys mysterious and suspenseful shows. This series did not disappoint, the suspense was INTENSE!! And literally had us sitting on the edge of our seats. It's not a scary show but definitely a thrilling!

We screened the show with 20 other amazing bloggers as an exclusive group invited by Disney and we did it from the comfort of our own home with some delicious cupcakes from Dots. The episode was so intense I ate one whole cupcake without any recollection, that's how into the show I was, it mysteriously disappeared.

Synopsis

Secrets of Sulphur Springs is a live-action, time-travel mystery series for kids ages 6-11 and their families. Set in the fictional Louisiana town of Sulphur Springs, the series follows adventurous 12-year-old Griffin Campbell and his bright-eyed, thrill-seeking friend Harper as they come across a secret portal that allows them to travel back in time and uncover clues related to an unsolved town mystery. Griffin’s father, Ben Campbell, moves the family from Chicago to Sulphur Springs to take ownership of The Tremont Hotel, an abandoned property that has been vacant for decades. Griffin learns that the hotel he just moved into is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a girl named Savannah who, without a trace, disappeared decades ago. He becomes really good friends with Harper, a girl he meets at school and together they sneakily explore The Tremont and soon stumble upon a secret portal that transports them back in time to a previous era. They are both committed to solving the mystery of how she went missing, Griffin and Harper embark on a time-travel adventure that puts them face-to-face with a sequence of thrilling escapades and run-ins with younger versions of people they have come to know in the present day.

Episode 5 Recap (no spoilers) set to premier January 29, 2021

In this weeks episode, Ben persuades Savannah to go to the dance, despite Griffin's efforts to stop her; Savannah dances with Ben, which leaves Jess in a jealous rage. So suspenseful and thrilling!

It was an amazing episode and we enjoyed it. The entire cast is fantastic and Preston, who plays Griffin is amazing in his role. Can't wait to watch next Friday's episode.
